Opportunity Summary
An innovative, fast-growing technology company is developing cutting-edge infrared, LiDAR, and laser-based sensing systems that are transforming aerospace and defense applications. As the Senior Program Manager, you will lead complex R&D initiatives that take advanced concepts from initial design through field-ready deployment. This newly created position offers broad ownership across multidisciplinary programs involving optics, electronics, and embedded software. You will oversee projects through all phases, including technical definition, integration, testing, and delivery, while ensuring customer satisfaction, schedule precision, and technical excellence. This role is ideal for an experienced technical program leader who thrives in a hands-on environment where advanced sensing technologies are rapidly evolving from the lab to real-world missions.

Job Duties
- Direct multiple concurrent programs from early R&D through production, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers working on advanced optical and sensor systems
- Serve as the key interface between internal teams, executive leadership, and external customers to ensure alignment on goals and progress
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans across parallel development efforts
- Translate high-level product concepts into actionable technical execution plans in collaboration with engineering leadership
- Drive risk management, anticipating potential issues and developing mitigation strategies early
- Oversee design reviews, milestone reporting, and customer deliverable documentation
- Support compliance with defense program standards, reporting protocols, and contractual requirements
- Contribute to improving program management practices and scaling internal processes as the organization grows
