Job Duties
- Direct multiple concurrent programs from early R&D through production, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers working on advanced optical and sensor systems
- Serve as the key interface between internal teams, executive leadership, and external customers to ensure alignment on goals and progress
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans across parallel development efforts
- Translate high-level product concepts into actionable technical execution plans in collaboration with engineering leadership
- Drive risk management, anticipating potential issues and developing mitigation strategies early
- Oversee design reviews, milestone reporting, and customer deliverable documentation
- Support compliance with defense program standards, reporting protocols, and contractual requirements
- Contribute to improving program management practices and scaling internal processes as the organization grows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred)5+ years of experience managing complex technical programs within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturingStrong technical understanding of optical, LiDAR, laser, or sensor systemsProven record of successfully leading cross-functional engineering teamsSkilled in balancing multiple priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into clear program objectivesFamiliarity with standard project management frameworks and tools such as Agile methodologies, MS Project, or PMP certificationPreferred Experience
