The Assistant Project Manager who will be part of a Construction Services team managing the field operations for military housing construction, including finish carpentry, rough carpentry, sheetrock installation, and sheetrock finishing. The APM works with the project team in various activities related to the successful completion and delivery of the residential program and project objectives. This includes, but not limited to : surveying and field data collection, pre-construction services, construction oversight, and project closeout.

This position is 100% field based, on-site at Fort Jackson, SC.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

• Assist Project Manager with on-site review of construction progress against project schedule.
• Proactively communicates project related issues directly with project team.
• Review construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to help assist in delivery of project.
• Assist Project Manager with monitoring and reporting on project work in the field.
• Assist project team with project reporting and documentation requirements.
• Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Provide input to weekly status reports for projects.
• Learn project management skills through exposure to projects and programs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
• Develops relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits : The anticipated compensation range for the position is $70,000 - $80,000 is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
