Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for hire.

Responsibilities

Read and understand assembly drawings.

Assemble and build mail automation equipment.

Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.

Work independently and within a team depending on the project.

Essential Skills

Ability to read assembly drawings (similar to IKEA furniture blueprints).

Recognize parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.

Identify hardware like screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.

Experience using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with a strong focus on teamwork. The facility operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 / hr.
