Job Summary : As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Tru Living Recovery, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to provide outpatient care for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This is a contract (1099) role within a collaborative, team-based treatment environment. The PMHNP will perform psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage medications—including medication-assisted treatment (MAT)—and support patients throughout their recovery. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse practitioner who values evidence-based practice, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) medications, including buprenorphine and naltrexone, as needed.
• Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive, integrated care.
• Provide patient education on mental health, substance use, and relapse prevention.
• Assess and manage psychiatric crises while ensuring trauma-informed, culturally competent care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and participate in weekly team meetings.
