Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support Regional Network Deployment & Scaling (RNDS) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . This role focuses on deploying, scaling, and maintaining large-scale data center and backbone network infrastructure across global OCI regions.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with data center networking , automation , and cloud-scale network operations .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 follow-the-sun support for OCI Regional Network Deployment & Scaling.
• Deploy greenfield network infrastructure and enable connectivity for new OCI regions and child sites.
• Support brownfield scaling , including :
• CFAB rack adds
• Compute expansions
• Server rack adds and decommissions
• Build and manage data center fabrics , edge , backbone , and metro fiber networks .
• Execute region builds , DRCC / Alloy expansions , multi-cloud integrations , and Butterfly turn-ups .
• Operate in a CI / CD pipeline environment using GitHub and OCI internal tools.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python preferred) to reduce manual deployment efforts.
• Work with routing and networking protocols including :
• BGP, OSPF, VXLAN
• TCP / IP, IPv4, IPv6
• DNS, DHCP
• IPSEC, VPN, SSL
• Configure and troubleshoot Arista, Cisco , and other enterprise network hardware.
• Manage and execute Jira tickets related to network infrastructure and RNS projects.
• Provide weekend and on-call support as required.
