Position Title : Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

Location : Culver City, CA

Schedule : Full-Time

Compensation : $19 per hour

Position Summary :

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a key role in supporting the safety, structure, and overall therapeutic environment of clients receiving care in a sober living setting. The BHT works closely with the clinical and medical teams to monitor clients, assist with daily routines, and ensure a secure, recovery-focused atmosphere during all phases of treatment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor clients through regular rounds and maintain awareness of their behavior, safety, and needs
  • Conduct and document room checks, client observations, and shift reports accurately and on time
  • Support clients with daily activities, including hygiene, mealtimes, and transitions between groups
  • Assist with new client admissions, orientations, and discharges
  • Respond to crisis situations and escalate concerns to clinical / medical staff appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, orderly facility environment and report any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Enforce facility rules and boundaries while maintaining a professional and supportive approach
  • Support group activities, meal times, and community responsibilities as directed
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to provide consistent, compassionate care

Shifts Available :

  • NOC Shift (11 pm - 7 am)

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a behavioral health, detox, or residential treatment setting preferred
  • RADT or SUDRC certification
  • CPR / First Aid certification required
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high-stress or crisis situations
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
