Senior Analytics Consultant – HEDIS and Quality

The Business Analytics consultant will be a key liaison between the analytics organization and clinical stakeholders across the enterprise.
Position Overview:
The Senior Analytics Consultant will develop HEDIS and Quality reporting/dashboards and act as liaison between clinical and technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Expert in HEDIS measures and other quality and regulatory reporting requirements
- Bridge the Gap - Measure Clinical Performance and turn Data into action
- Manage a portfolio of projects with routine communication/touch base with the clinical and business areas (internal clients)
- Manage customer requirements and identify most efficient and accurate approach to structuring solutions to complex reporting/analytics needs
- Provide recommendations and alternatives
- Understand the need identified and driven by clinical leadership
- Articulate/translate need into a project through problem solving/whiteboard session, etc
- Validate reports/analysis to ensure accuracy via comparison to internal and external benchmarks and use of peer review as appropriate
- Act as a data steward maintaining and ensuring data integrity; manage research concerning data anomalies, work with other departments to identify solution or workaround, and communicate outcomes and impacts to other departments as appropriate
- Project execution could be a solo effort or team-based approach including analysts/scientists/informaticists depending on a business problem
- Presentation of findings/recommendations
- Support findings/recommendations implementation and monitoring
- Formal program/initiative evaluation
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years in healthcare analytics.
- BA in Statistics, Computer Science or related field r equired.
- MBA or a Master’s in Statistics preferred.
- Data Tools; SAS , SQL, Tableau , Business Objects, Qlikview, and MS Office proficiency.
- Must have extensive experience in data analysis, decision support, business analysis and requirements documenting.
- Demonstrate experience in analysis and presentation of data.
- Proven ability to summarize data and clearly communicate findings verbally or in writing.
- Ability to work in small groups and engage a larger audience for participation when appropriate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
