Production Planner / Materials Planner

Location : Santa Clarita Valley, CA

Role Summary :

Plan, schedule, and coordinate the flow of products through the production cycle, ensuring materials and resources are available to meet customer delivery dates and internal goals. Monitor work orders, manage ERP / MRP data, and collaborate across purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to maintain smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and prioritize open sales orders to meet production schedules

Coordinate material delivery and manage shortages

Release and track manufacturing work orders

Maintain ERP / MRP data and generate reports on production progress

Support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor

Communicate schedule impacts and updates to internal teams

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3–5 years production planning or materials management experience in manufacturing

Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP systems; Global Shop experience a plus

Familiarity with lean manufacturing, visual factory, and material handling systems

Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills / Certifications :

APICS, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certifications

Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
