As a Security Officer - Retail Store Patrol in Lakewood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and proactive approach will create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail or mall environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting patrons, tenants, and staff as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and / or verifying credentials as required.
  • Support lost and found procedures by assisting guests and tenants with lost property inquiries.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and / or observations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
