Multimedia Podcast Production Editor Job at SRPMIC in Scottsdale

Definition : Under the general supervision of the Public Information Officer, the Multimedia Podcast Production Editor serves as the lead for podcast production and provides creative support in graphic design and other multimedia platforms. This position manages the full lifecycle of podcast production : editing, optimization, and creative development while also producing videos, photos, digital media, and graphics that reflect the organizations brand. The Multimedia Podcast Production Editor works closely with departments and production teams to deliver high-quality, engaging content that supports organizational goals. This job class is treated as FLSA Non-Exempt.

Essential Functions

• Podcast Production and Editing : Serves as technical and creative lead for audio (and supporting video) content, integrating sound design, AI tools and narrative structure to deliver polished episodes; leads pre-production planning, providing creative and technical recommendations; organizes and manages in-person recording sessions, including setup of cameras, lighting and audio equipment; films and records podcasts using professional equipment and software; guides hosts and guests on best practices for consistency, mic technique and clean takes; edits audio and video content for podcasts, social media, marketing and internal use using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and other applicable tools; develops templates and presets for consistent use of the brand through sound and visuals across episodes; uses AI tools to streamline editing, enhance content quality and improve workflow efficiency; organizes media files, manages timelines and ensures timely project delivery; prepares final masters and distributes to required platforms with correct loudness / formatting specs; provides regular project status updates and solicits feedback to ensure customer satisfaction; stays up to date on industry trends, particularly in podcasting, video editing and AI integration; maintains media asset management, version control and archival organization of audio / video files; actively introduces and shares new ideas and concepts to support innovation and continuous improvement.
• General Multimedia : Design and produce marketing materials. Create promotional content such as brochures, flyers, banners, digital signage and social media graphics that align with organization and departmental brand guidelines, design standards and deadlines for both internal and public facing materials; set up and operate cameras, lighting and staging for events, staff profiles, program documentation or community activities; perform post processing of photos and videos; use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Cloud software to produce final multimedia products appropriately formatted to application; support accessibility (captions, alternative text) where applicable; edit video with Premiere Pro to produce engaging storytelling visuals; create short form clips for social platforms; create original graphics, animations, photos and visual content; apply file-naming conventions and backup protocols; assist department with multimedia assets for internal and external presentation, training modules using content tools such as PowerPoint, Camtasia or Adobe Captivate; prepare and edit multimedia assets for online publishing and assist with uploading as needed; create, organize and maintain a catalogue system for multimedia material for archival and reference; assist with maintaining the multimedia equipment and supplies inventory.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

Education and Experience

Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Communication, Journalism, Multimedia Design, Computer Graphics, Animation or a directly related field is required. Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred.

Required skills and experience with : Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro. Familiarity with podcasting equipment and workflows. Desire and willingness to continue professional development through ongoing education and training.

Equivalency

Any equivalent combination of education and / or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered.

Underfill Eligibility

An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill. May be required to work beyond normal work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Drivers License.
