As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. Join our Human Resources team as a 2026 summer intern, where you'll gain hands-on experience supporting core HR functions while contributing to employee engagement initiatives and daily operations. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields who want exposure to how HR supports a global manufacturing organization.

• Support day-to-day HR operations including maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and preparing documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and participating in onboarding.
• Contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives, including organizing events, supporting training programs, and gathering feedback.
• Partner with HR team members to ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
• Gain exposure to HR systems (HRIS / payroll), talent development programs, and organizational processes that support business strategy.

This internship provides the opportunity to build foundational knowledge in HR operations, strengthen organizational and communication skills, and gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. Our intern and co-op positions are paid, and we offer housing stipends for students who are not local to the Kansas City area.
