About the Role

Step into a day at our precision manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village, where craftsmanship meets problem-solving. You’ll start by reviewing prints and setup sheets, selecting fixturing, and dialing in manual mills and grinders to produce and maintain high-accuracy tooling. Throughout the day, you’ll verify critical dimensions with micrometers and calipers, troubleshoot dies, and work side-by-side with engineers to enhance tooling performance and shop processes. Safety, 5S, and clear documentation are part of your rhythm.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run manual milling and surface grinding equipment to build and maintain tools and dies.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets to plan and execute work.
• Inspect components with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure tight tolerances.
• Diagnose, repair, and refine tooling to protect quality and uptime.
• Partner with engineers and shop leads to elevate tooling design and manufacturing methods.
• Uphold safety practices, 5S discipline, and accurate documentation.
