Essential duties include, but are not limited to :
- Prepare necessary food items by following standardized operational procedures.
- Handle cutting equipment.
- Follow established weights and measures procedures.
- Suggestive sales with customers.
- Inventory control & stock
- Order inventory for the department
- Daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- Train employees
- Proper food preparation and kitchen techniques
- Cook various types of dishes.
- Other duties common to the Kitchen department may be assigned by the supervisor
as needed.
Skills / Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 year of experience in food handling, food preparation role preferred.High school diploma / GED or equivalent work experience preferredMust be 18 years of ageAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively after groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to apply understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsBilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferredWork well with others in a team-oriented environment where one willingly takes onadditional tasks with a positive attitude to help out the team / department.’
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services - this includescustomer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation
of customer satisfaction
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternativesolutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to coach and lead diverse work teams toachieve performance, quality, cost, and service goals
Physical Requirements :
Requires regular attendance and / or physical presence at the jobFast paced, high volume, detail-oriented work environmentExposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborneparticles; and toxic or caustic chemicals
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderateOccasionally requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects ormaterials.
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.Requires extensive use of handsReach above and below shoulder height, constant walking, standing in one place forlong periods of time, bending, stooping, lifting, etc.
Work in hot and cold environments.Follow company health and safety rules and wear protective equipment when andwhere applicable.
Safely use food handling and sanitation chemicals and equipment to maintaindepartment cleanliness standards and local, State and Federal agencies regulations
and requirements.

work varying shifts and schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, which reflect the
Company's operating requirements.
