[job_card.job_description]Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with at least 3 years dedicated to underwriting. In-depth understanding of residential mortgage products, including Conventional, Non-Conventional, QM and Non-QM, Jumbo, DSCR, FHA / VA, and Business Purpose loans. Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements within the industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting tools such as DU and LPA. Exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage workload under pressure. Self-motivated, open-minded, and capable of bringing innovative ideas to improve processes. Leadership potential with the willingness to learn company procedures and supervise others once fully trained.
Senior Residential Mortgage Loan Originator
Location : Buffalo, NY (with the flexibility to work from home one day a week)
Compensation : $90,000 - $95,000 annually, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package

This exciting opportunity focuses on the critical task of reviewing and re-underwriting previously closed mortgage loans to ensure they adhere to the latest guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough re-underwriting of mortgage loans to ensure compliance with established guidelines and secondary market requirements.
- Analyze income, credit, and property documentation with precision.
- Perform due diligence on representation and warranty reviews to uphold high standards.
- Review and evaluate collateral, title reports, and fraud detection results.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of underwriting standards.
