We are looking to add a Senior Material Handler to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about supporting manufacturing, repair, and rework for an exciting product line of satellite communications equipment, we would like to hear from you.

In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting spacecraft assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) by preparing, organizing, and delivering highly accurate hardware kits. This position requires advanced knowledge of aerospace material handling practices, strong ERP / MRP system skills, and the ability to work independently in cleanroom and controlled environments. The Senior Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for kitting processes, mentors junior staff, and drives process improvements to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with aerospace standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the preparation, verification, and delivery of hardware kits for flight and non-flight space systems in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, and bills of material (BOMs).
• Independently interpret and resolve complex documentation or material discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.
• Ensure all kitted hardware meets strict contamination control, FOD, and ESD standards.
• Maintain traceability of materials by accurately recording lot / batch numbers, certifications, and part information in ERP / MRP systems.
• Conduct cycle counts, reconcile inventory variances, and participate in audits to uphold material accuracy.
• Mentor and train junior Kitting Specialists on procedures, best practices, and aerospace compliance requirements.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to increase accuracy, reduce cycle time, and improve material flow.
• Uphold safety, security, and aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NASA, DoD) in all material handling activities.
