    • Schedule Details / Additional Information :

    $10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available

    $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible for PM Shifts at ASLMC

    Be part of our amazing OR team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, offering innovative care and a nationally recognized healthcare experience. In this vital role, you will make a difference every day in the Operating Room, showcasing your attention to detail and ability to handle high-pressure situations.

    Schedule / Hours :

    Full-time, evening shift, working 8 or 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with on-call requirements, typically overnight.

    Major Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for optimal patient care using aseptic surgical techniques.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Set up and maintain the operating room, ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
  • Function as a Second Assistant when necessary during procedures.
  • Identify and address any equipment and supply issues promptly.
  • Transport patients and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a specialty cart to ensure all items are complete and in working order.
  • Transport and position patients with proper lifting techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various procedures and ages to ensure age-appropriate care.

    • Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire unless waived.

    • Education Required :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

    • Experience Required :

  • No prior experience required.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform various physical tasks during the work shift.
  • Exposure to various hazards; able to wear necessary protective gear.
  • Must possess functional sight and hearing.
