Accounting Department Job Description Position : Payroll Accountant Reports to : Chief Financial Officer Overview Carry out payroll processing in conjunction with Paylocity. Maintain timely accurate Payroll records at Eden Foods. Update Personnel files as needed. Ensure accurate attendance and paid time off records are readily available. Participate in productive and efficient operation of the Accounting Department. Duties and Responsibilities A. A focal point for payroll and personnel facts maintained by the Company. B. Work with Human Resources and Department Managers to ensure timely updates to records associated with attendance, payroll, and benefits. C. Ensure that payroll is accurately and timely dispatched to employees. D. Work with the Accounting Department Manager to train reliable back-ups for payroll and records maintenance. Keep trained back-ups up to date as developments and Department protocols necessitate. E. Interface with other Company Managers and Supervisors in the allocation of paid time to employees and other issues related to payroll as they arise. F. Facilitate preparation of accurate Company and management reports using verified source data. G. Proficiently assist the accounting team in various Department projects and responsibilities. Job Requirements 1. Education and experience necessary to bring competence to these duties in the Accounting Department 2. Professional communication skills; verbal and written 3. Be or quickly become adept in Excel, MS Word, and Eden software programs with a willing eagerness to learn. 4. Reliable, straightforward, forthright, detail oriented, problem solver, with an ability to function as a team member.
