Summary :
Administer all aspects of an industrial security function specifically with regards to the full lifecycle of records and information management (e.g., creation, storage, use, final disposition) to ensure compliance with government and Laboratory classified security regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage Information Governance initiatives for the National Programs Office (NPO) business development and National Programs Implementation Office (NPIO) ongoing business, including work on major assignments and projects without appreciable direction, typically exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives.
- Analyze situations and data that require interpretation of extremely complex factors as well as precedential decisions as to policies, procedures and practices.
- Apply wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in one or more related fields of knowledge to provide leadership, oversight, and monitoring to products, services, and / or capabilities; provide assessment of deliverables; resolve technical and resource issues.
- Recommend changes to classified security procedures and coordinate policy manual revisions.
- May be assigned as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to one or more programs, in which you will interpret and implement security policy and guidance and provide oversight and assistance to staff.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in evaluating potential approaches and solutions to critical problems and determining appropriate resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and all security protocols required by customers or contracts and keep abreast of ever-changing industrial security regulations.
- Apply extensive understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts in a relevant field of knowledge resulting in contributions to the development of new methods.
- Advise and consult with management or equivalent within and outside own organization.
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret (TS) clearance based upon Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within 5-year scope and be able to be approved for Secure Compartmented Information (SCI) accessesTypically requires a bachelor's with 9 years of related experience; master's with 7 years of related experience; PhD with 5 years of related experienceAdvanced knowledge in Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) procedures and policiesProven written and oral communication skillsExcellent critical thinking skillsDedication to high standards of quality and compliant work productsCreative, flexible, and inventive in finding solutions to overcome challengesPreferred Qualifications
