Engineer 1

MW Partners is currently seeking a Engineer to work for our client who is a well-known leading utilities company.

Responsibilities and duties :

• This contractor role supports the Field Engineering group within Distribution Engineering. The engineer will work closely with Field Engineering teams to support capital project scoping field-based assessments and process improvement initiatives.
• The role emphasizes technical analysis documentation and collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Conduct field assessments and power system modeling (e.g. load flow studies).
• Support grid modernization infrastructure replacement and resiliency programs.
• Scope capital projects including overhead / underground conductor replacements programmable capacitor control and fuse upgrades.
• Document and track projects using Client Project Initiation Forms (PIFs) and Master Distribution Interface (MDI).
• Provide recommendations and documentation for system and process improvements.
• Assist in training and guiding engineering teams on new tools and procedures.
