Description

• Assess patients across multiple age groups-children, adults, and seniors-utilizing both standardized assessments and observational practices.
• Craft personalized therapeutic plans that encompass immediate needs and long-term objectives related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to establish cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance their treatment and progress beyond office visits.
• Assist with some inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
