Mortgage Underwriter I

A company is looking for an Underwriter I to perform mortgage loan reviews and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Manage individual pipeline by completing underwriting and appraisal reviews

Identify document deficiencies and request additional information from clients

Assist department colleagues in interpreting underwriting guidelines and updating loan statuses

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the Mortgage Industry or Residential Mortgage Loan underwriting

High school diploma required

Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry operations and products

Intermediate knowledge of regulatory compliance obligations and industry standards

Entry level to intermediate knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA Guidelines
