Requirements :

  • Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
  • 21+ Years of Age
  • Armed Guard Card / License
  • Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only)
  • Security Experience - 2+ Years
  • 2+ Years' Law Enforcement / Military Police / Corrections Experience (C140)
  • Access Control / Badge Experience
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Loss Prevention

Pay : $22.00 / hour, DailyPay or Weekly Pay Options Available. Full-Time Zip Code : 77016

As a Security Officer - Armed Shopping Patrols in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving position, where you will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

    • What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies.
  • Provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
