Chesapeake Public Works – Engineering Division is seeking a goal oriented and dependable individual to perform essential services for Civil 3D Drafting. The City of Chesapeake is hiring a full-time Engineering CADD Technician. Your work product will be the backbone of storm drainage and transportation projects that improve the level of safety and quality of life for Chesapeake residents. The ideal candidate will have any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in computer aided drafting and design or a closely related field.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in computer aided drafting and design or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education requirements, this class requires a minimum of six months of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Autodesk AutoCad certificate preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties. Preferred Qualifications Autodesk AutoCad certificate preferred.
