We are seeking a high-performing M&A Analyst to support the companys acquisition strategy through rigorous financial analysis and proactive deal origination. This role sits within the Corporate Development function and works closely with senior leadership, finance, legal, and operating teams. The analyst will evaluate acquisition targets, build financial models, and actively support marketing and outreach efforts to identify businesses for sale.
This role is ideal for a candidate who combines strong financial fundamentals with commercial curiosity and the ability to engage external stakeholders.
In addition, this position supports the companys M&A efforts by collecting market data, building analytical models, generating target lists, and producing reporting that helps identify potential pest control acquisition candidates. This role provides hands-on support for outreach activities and engagement with pest control industry associations. The analyst works closely with the Corporate Development team and other cross-functional partners to ensure accurate insights, clean data, and timely reporting that help drive acquisition pipeline development.

Responsibilities
You
Financial Analysis & Deal Evaluation
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, cash flow analysis, valuation, and return analyses
- Perform valuation analyses using multiple methodologies (discounted cash flow, comparable company multiples, precedent transactions), with a clear understanding of how valuation assumptions impact investment returns and capital allocation decisions
- Analyze historical financial statements to identify trends, normalize earnings, and assess the sustainability and quality of EBITDA, including adjustments for owner compensation, one-time items, seasonality, and non-recurring costs
- Analyze synergy opportunities and integration costs, including revenue growth, procurement leverage, overhead efficiencies, and one-time integration expenses
- Support due diligence activities, including quality of earnings reviews, working capital analysis, and integration considerations
- Prepare investment memoranda, executive presentations, and deal summaries for senior leadership
- Assist in structuring transactions and evaluating purchase price, earn-outs, and other deal terms
Market Research & Target List Development
- Gather data on pest control businesses across , association directories, trade groups, and third-party datasets
- Build and maintain lists of potential acquisition targets; categorize and update companies based on size, geography, and other criteria
- Provide updated and relevant contact lists to internal team members responsible for outreach
- Identify and surface leads by monitoring city, state, and national pest control associations, industry networks, state licensing data, trade events and other sources
- Assist with market density evaluations to support identification of acquisition opportunities within specific metro areas
- Support research on new markets where the company has limited or no presence
- Update and track target company details in the internal database, ensuring data completeness and accuracy
Analytics & Reporting
- Collect and clean market, demographic, and operational data used in acquisition analysis
- Build routine reports summarizing lead volume, outreach engagement, responses, and other performance indicators
- Support modeling efforts to evaluate market penetration, geographic potential, and competitive activity
- Maintain reporting tools that show trends in target development and acquisition marketing performance
- Perform quantitative market assessments, including mapping competitors, identifying whitespace, and comparing service density
- Monitor pest control industry data sources to spot emerging markets or shifts that may surface new acquisition opportunities
- Assist the Corporate Development and Finance teams with data validation and integration into broader forecasting or pipeline models
- Run campaign performance checks, summarize findings and make recommendations on campaign effectiveness and returns
- Ensure high standards of data accuracy, documentation, and reporting consistency
Marketing & Communications Support
- Prepare lists and data inputs needed for email outreach, targeted campaigns, and event follow-ups
- Assist in creating or updating marketing collateral used in seller outreach (presentations, info sheets, templates)
- Support the scheduling and coordination of association events, sponsorships, and tradeshows that may produce seller leads
- Provide research and data inputs to Communications and Investor Relations to help ensure consistent messaging related to acquisition activity
- Help maintain basic social media or online presence updates related to corporate development activities, where directed

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelors degree in finance, business, data analytics, economics or a related field
13+ years of experience preferred (but not required) in data analysis, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, consulting, or private equity. Experience in multi-location services or pest control is a plus, but not required
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and basic analytics or visualization tools (, Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
Strong ability to collect, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources
Solid research skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable supporting multiple stakeholders and handling recurring reporting cycles
Strong written communication skills for preparing summaries, lists, and basic outreach materials
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
