Job Description

My client is seeking a CAD / CAM Programmer for their facility near Portsmouth, VA. This role requires good English communication for daily interaction with engineering and manufacturing teams. ONLY US CITIZENS will be considered, due to ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities :

Develop new CAM programs using Mastercam, including toolpath programming for both milling and turning operations.
Develop robust CNC work-holding fixtures, constructed from materials such as aluminum or steel, for use in CNC milling operations.
Design and create soft work-holding fixtures for secondary manufacturing processes and CMM measuring
Create 2D or 3D designs using design software.
Integrate manufacturing feedback into the development of 3D model designs.
Revise 2D Drawings as requested

Requirements :

Associate Technical Degree or Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years of experience in CAD / CAM in a manufacturing environment

Mastercam 3D milling and turning experience

Work-holding design experience

Ability to analyze G-Code

CAD 3D modeling

Strong problem-solving skills

Inventor experience a plus

Mastercam 5-Axis milling, a plus

CMM experience, a plus

Master Turning a plus
