Mid-Level Tax Associate Attorney – Dallas, TX

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate to join a leading national Am 100 law firm in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong tax experience to contribute to a highly regarded Business practice group.

Key Responsibilities :

Advise on mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating tax provisions in stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, partnership and joint venture agreements, and loan agreements.

Provide guidance on cross-border tax structuring and international tax issues (inbound and outbound).

Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and client service.

Contribute to the firm’s commitment to community involvement and client-focused representation.

Qualifications :

5–7 years of big law firm experience in tax law, with a focus on M&A transactions.

Exceptional academic background and excellent legal writing skills.

Licensed (or eligible to become licensed) to practice law in Texas.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface directly with clients.

Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.

Experience with international tax issues preferred.

• Compensation : $250,000 - $400,000 DOE

This position is based in Dallas, TX. Candidates must reside in the Dallas area at or prior to the time of hire.
