About the Role :
Were looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our company in Tualatin, OR. This is a hands-on role where youll spend time both in the office and on the shop floor -reviewing drawings, solving design challenges, assisting with process improvements, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating across teams, and applying engineering knowledge to real-world manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities :
- Provides end-to-end planning, direction, coordination, and on-floor-support for all assigned New Product Introduction (NPI) and First Article builds
- Collaborates with machinists and production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently and accurately
- Troubleshoots mechanical and process issues on the shop floor and provides engineering support to resolve them
- Develops and improves mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for manufacturing projects
- Performs calculations, testing, and analysis to ensure products meet quality and safety standards
- Helps management with decision making by analyzing costs related to manufacturing requirements, tooling, fixtures, time, production and human resources
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product performance
- Ensures the integration of engineering resources with cross-functional teams to meet customer objectives
- Ensures compliance with company, industry, and customer standards throughout the production process
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferredBasic knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes and the interactions between the two processesProficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processesHands-on problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with production teamsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentGeneral knowledge of machine and equipment functionality, and capabilityBenefits :
