Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a tenure-track or tenured Associate Professor of Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) to begin Fall 2026 .

Primary duties will include leading the launch of the new Civil Engineering program and establishing state-of-the-art laboratories in areas such as construction materials, foundations, and structural analysis. They also encompass developing a robust externally funded research program, enhancing the School’s research profile, and fostering collaborations with industry, government, and interdisciplinary teams. Primary duties further extend to contributing meaningful service to the School, College, and University, mentoring junior faculty, guiding student research, and positioning the laboratories as a regional hub for industry-relevant innovation.
