Position Summary :
The Dining Room Manager will oversee the operations of multiple fine dining outlets within Metairie Country Club, ensuring that each venue maintains the Club’s prestigious standards of service, quality, and member experience. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all front-of-house operations, optimizing team performance, and ensuring a seamless dining experience across all outlets, whether it’s a formal dining room, private event space, or other dining venues. This role requires a strong background in luxury hospitality, superior leadership skills, and a refined understanding of fine dining practices across different service formats.
Key Responsibilities :
Multi-Outlet Operational Leadership :
- Supervise the daily operations of multiple fine dining outlets, ensuring consistency in service standards, ambiance, and food quality.
- Ensure each outlet delivers a premium dining experience tailored to its unique style, whether casual fine dining, private events, or special wine dinners.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure all menus are seasonal, reflective of Club members' preferences, and of the highest quality.
- Oversee inventory management across all outlets, ensuring the proper stock of premium ingredients, fine wines, and spirits for each venue.
- Manage the reservation and seating systems for optimal guest flow and member satisfaction.
Staff Leadership & Training :
Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house staff across all fine dining outlets, ensuring a cohesive, polished team capable of delivering an impeccable service experience.Develop and execute ongoing training programs focused on fine dining etiquette, wine knowledge, menu items, and service techniques specific to each outlet.Mentor outlet supervisors and floor staff, ensuring they understand and uphold the Club’s commitment to excellence and attention to detail.Create and manage weekly schedules based on outlet demand, ensuring efficient staffing across all dining venues.Conduct performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and fostering an environment of growth and professionalism.Member Experience & Personalized Service :
Develop strong relationships with members, anticipating their preferences and delivering a personalized and memorable dining experience.Regularly walk through all outlets, interacting with members to ensure their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.Ensure all members receive personalized attention, especially during high-profile events or special occasions.Work closely with the management team to understand member preferences, ensuring these preferences are consistently delivered across all outlets.Collaborate with the Bar Manager to ensure staff is well-trained in wine knowledge, pairing suggestions, and signature cocktails for an elevated member experience.Financial & Administrative Management :
Monitor and control budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses across all dining outlets.Collaborate with the Clubhouse Manager to develop and track financial performance, providing reports on sales, margins, and cost-control efforts.Review sales data, identifying trends and opportunities to enhance member satisfaction and increase revenue.Ensure compliance with all financial procedures and policies for inventory, ordering, and cost management.Event Coordination & Execution :
Partner with the Events team to ensure seamless execution of private parties, banquets, and large-scale events within the dining outlets.Oversee the logistics of private dining functions, ensuring that service levels and member expectations are consistently met.Develop strategies to manage high-demand periods, ensuring all outlets operate efficiently during large events and peak dining hours.Attend weekly F&B meetings, ensuring clear and comprehensive understanding of all events and scheduling needs.Health & Safety Compliance :
Ensure that all outlets adhere to food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and alcohol service laws.Conduct regular audits to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all fine dining spaces.Ensure all staff members are trained in safe alcohol service and emergency procedures.Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in fine dining, with at least 2 years managing multiple outlets or large-scale operations.Strong knowledge of fine dining etiquette, food and wine pairings, and upscale service protocols.Proven leadership and team management skills in a multi-outlet environment.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.High level of organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple outlets and varying needs simultaneously.Solid understanding of financials, including budget management, cost control, and revenue generation.Proficiency in POS systems, MS Office Suite, and inventory management tools.Wine certifications (e.g., WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers) are a plus.Louisiana Responsible Vendor and ServSafe Food Handlers certifications are required.Work Environment :
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on outlet and event needs.The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 lbs.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.Metairie Country Club is an equal opportunity employer.
