The Senior Reinsurance Analyst is responsible for reporting and analysis for ceded and assumed reinsurance. Strong reconciliation skills required for validation of ceded payable and assumed recoverable / payable. Provides necessary support for monthly close process, manage assigned accounts, special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

• Calculate and validate ceded reinsurance premiums in reinsurance system.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly bordereaux to report ceded premiums and losses to reinsurers.
• Review reinsurer premium invoices and validate amounts due.
• Manages cash and research discrepancies.
• Resolves payment discrepancies with underwriters and reinsurers.
• Process ceded payments and apply cash receipts in reinsurance as needed.
• Manage assumed book of business, including entry into the reinsurance system, and cash management.
• Liaise with other Reinsurance Accounting team members as well as members of the Underwriting and Claims departments.
