Job Overview :

Shooters Waterfront is looking for a Pastry Cook with a passion for sweet and delicious creations to join our award-winning waterfront operation. In addition to being well-versed in the production and creation of pastry in a high-volume environment, the Pastry Cook should also demonstrate effective communication and strong team collaboration.

Reports to : Pastry Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : (other duties may be assigned)

  • Prepare our delicious pastries, cakes, and other desserts from scratch using the recipe instructions, proper portioning methods, pastry techniques, and plating standards on a consistent and timely basis.
  • Complete your prep list, efficiently run your station during the shift, follow all specs, and properly store food items.
  • Consistently adhere to established sanitization standards, make sure your workstation stays clean and organized, and follow all of the food handling standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef.

Required Qualifications / Skills :

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and / or training.
  • Proven baking and production experience; inclusive of an understanding of various baking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently with accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work a dynamic and flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
