Work hours: 45 hours/week, Monday - Saturday: Monday - Friday 8 hours/day; Saturday 5 hours/day; 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.*

JOB DUTIES:

On farms, construction of livestock buildings. Measure and layout livestock building. Excavate footings and level the earth to grade specifications. Tie rebar, position wall-forms and place all concrete. Clean site. Must be able to lift and carry 85 lbs. for 85 yds.

EMPLOYER FURNISHED TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: The employer will furnish, without cost, all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. Crews will be responsible for vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to them. Deductions will be taken for lost tools, misuse causing damage and destruction of tools and equipment. Vehicles must be kept clean and deductions will be made for necessary cleaning, damages, due to misuse, and reckless operation.

*The work hours listed are the hours during which the work shift might be, workers will not be expected to work from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. but rather they can expect to work 8 hours a day Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 5 hours on Saturdays between those hours. The schedule varies by worksite and other factors.

Minimum Education Required

None. No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Must be able to lift and carry 85 lbs. for 85 yds.

One month of wall-form setter experience required.

Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.

Extensive pushing and pulling is required.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

Additional Compensation

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
