Assembler A

SEC Energy is a single-source provider of natural gas compression equipment, parts and services to all segments of the oil & gas industry. From 50 to 8, horsepower, gas, electric or dual drive, SEC is capable of designing and fabricating equipment to meet each customer’s specific operating requirements. SEC also provides production, processing, and treating equipment, and an expansive network of warehouses that service locations across the United States. SEC capabilities expand beyond tradition manufacturing to further include turnkey engineering services, truck-based service technicians, manufacturer parts, and power generation equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Reads shop notes, general arrangement and process flow diagrams and drawings.
• Reads measuring devices such as tape measures, rulers and pressure gauges.
• Assembles and installs skid mounted components such as pumps, vessels, pipe, pipe supports, structural supports, belts, pulleys and machine guards.
• Performs pneumatic and mechanical tests on assembled components.
• Disassembles components to replace defective parts or to prepare them for shipping.
• Operates a variety of portable hand, electric and air powered tools such as impact wrenches, torque wrenches, combination wrenches, sockets, ratchets, band saw and grinders.
• Operates stationary tools such as bench grinder, iron worker, drill press and chop saw.
• Operates lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and jib cranes.
• Records serial numbers and other information as required in ITP (inspection test plan).
• Reports problems to line supervisor and actively participates in resolution.
• Perform job duties in a safe manner and according to company safety procedures.
• Reports potentially unsafe equipment and safety hazards to supervisor for immediate resolution.
• Understands and follows oral and written instructions.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and workers.
• Actively participates in the development of Assembler I and other employees.
• Performs the above and other duties as required with minimal supervision.
