Quality Control Inspector - Used Vehicle Reconditioning

Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing the final, comprehensive audit of all reconditioned used vehicles. This role ensures every vehicle meets the dealership’s strict mechanical, safety, cosmetic, and documentation standards, minimizing costly rework, enhancing customer satisfaction, and protecting the dealership's reputation.

The QC Inspector is the final authority that determines if a vehicle is officially "Front Line Ready."

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Mechanical and Safety Inspection Audits

• Final Verification : Conduct a rigorous post-repair inspection of all items listed on the original Repair Order (RO) to confirm that all required and recommended mechanical work has been completed correctly and to manufacturer / dealership specifications.
• Road Testing : Perform a comprehensive road test (typically 5-10 minutes) on every unit to verify drivability, identify any new or missed issues, and confirm the function of key systems (engine, transmission, brakes, steering, climate control, electronics).
