Job Overview :

Extron is searching for a Test Engineer to work on site at our Anaheim, CA location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Developing and maintaining automation software that is used for testing products in a production environment.
• Researching and developing test methods for new / existing products by working with design engineers, product managers, and application engineers.
• Create test environments that automate testing using AV test equipment.
• Perform test support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshooting and disposition of product failures by communicating the failure conditions and possible causes to the appropriate department.
• Communicate testing status to management and other department personnel in a clear and concise manner.
• Developing hardware test plans, test set-ups, and emphasis on automated testing based on product requirements / parameters.

Required Education and Experience :

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• .NET software development using MVVM or WPF design patterns.
• Ability to develop software primarily in C#, and experience with Python and other similar languages.
• Excellent knowledge of OO design, common software development best practices.
• Experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Familiarity in using project management tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with managing code bases using source control such as git and Sourcetree.
• Experience developing automated test systems for audio / video streaming and switching products using USB, TCP / IP, GPIB, and RS- control interfaces.
• Experience with managing databases using SQL queries.
• Experience with JSON REST API calls and parsing JSON.
• Experience working with CPLD / FPGA programming and associated devices and tools.
• Produce well designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Ability to document software requirements and specifications.
• Develop software verification plans and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional environment, working independently and as a member of a team.

Salary range : $82, - $87,. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
