Junior Project Planner – Full Time – Fort Worth, TX
Job Category : Operations
Job Type : Full Time - DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY! Salary $70,000 - $75,000
Job Location : Fort Worth
JOB SUMMARY :
Utility pole experience is a plus!
Assist in preparing project release packages by reviewing drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and customer requirements under close supervision. Learn and apply ERP and nesting software to support cut ticket generation, material assignment, and shop release activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Review drafting releases and BOMs to identify assemblies and required parts.
2. Generate cut tickets for standard assemblies with guidance.
3. Assist in verifying customer requirements (material grade, CVN, silicone restrictions, etc.).
4. Learn to select materials from Syspro ERP and SigmaNest inventory.
5. Support CNC programming and nesting activities from DXF files.
6. Escalate material shortages to the Project Planner or Purchasing.
7. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established planning procedures.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- 0–2 years in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or drafting.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Word; willingness to learn Syspro and SigmaNest.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro experience highly preferred).
- Ability to read fabrication drawings with supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
