Role Overview
The Project Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability for complex federal IT programs delivering Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), technical oversight, financial management, and risk management services. This role is responsible for ensuring successful execution across multiple workstreams while serving as the primary interface with government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale IT and systems programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government leadership and program stakeholders
- Direct IV&V activities across the full systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Oversee technical oversight, program management, financial tracking, and risk management activities
- Manage staffing, resource allocation, schedules, and performance metrics
- Ensure high-quality delivery of reports, plans, dashboards, and executive briefings
- Provide strategic guidance on risk mitigation, issue resolution, and corrective actions
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical, financial, and program staff
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and operational requirements
- Maintain independence and objectivity in program oversight and assessments
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related fieldMaster's degree preferredExperience
10+ years of progressive experience managing complex IT or systems programs5+ years in a senior leadership or program management roleDemonstrated experience leading multi-year, multi-disciplinary federal programsProven track record managing cost, schedule, performance, and riskExperience interfacing with senior government stakeholders and executivesCertifications
One or more of the following preferred :
Project Management Professional (PMP)Program Management Professional (PgMP)ITIL or equivalent IT service management certification
