JOB PURPOSE : The Mobile Automotive Specialist plays a crucial field-based role, delivering premier diagnostic, programming, and calibration services directly to Crash Champions locations. This position involves regular travel to various customer sites and is integral to upholding ATE's commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service. Technicians must maintain integrity in all service recommendations and documentation, ensuring only OEM-compliant services are provided.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide efficient and accurate service support to internal and external customers.
- Travel daily to scheduled service locations using a company-issued vehicle.
- Perform a range of vehicle services, including diagnostics, calibration, programming, scanning, and wire / connector repair.
- Document all services, especially calibrations, in accordance with OEM guidelines and obtain necessary approvals prior to execution.
- Conduct test drives to ensure system functionality and validate successful repairs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by :
- Managing challenging situations with transparency and urgency.
- Communicating promptly and professionally with shops and internal teams.
- Escalating concerns as needed.
- Engage in team meetings and training as required.
- Maintain and secure all ATE-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Stay informed on ATE and OEM protocols through mandatory training sessions.
- Meet productivity and quality targets while accurately managing daily documentation and completing final billing before departing service locations.
- Work a flexible schedule, including Saturday coverage as required by market needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
2-5 years of automotive experience, particularly in servicing and diagnosing various vehicle systems.In-depth knowledge of ADAS and electrical services, including calibrations (levels 1-3), programming, diagnostics, and wire / connector repair.Proficiency in utilizing electrical diagnostic tools like multimeters and power probes.Experience in performing and interpreting vehicle health scans with both OEM and non-OEM tools.Ability to read and understand OEM and aftermarket service manuals and wiring schematics.Skill in programming vehicle modules with factory or approved software.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical findings.Technologically adept with platforms like Outlook, Teams, and Word.Demonstrated strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and self-motivation, representing the ATE brand professionally.Passion for continuous learning and professional development within the role.Able to work independently in dynamic shop environments.Willingness to travel daily to service sites using a company vehicle.Availability for rotating Saturday shifts.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in automotive environments.Benefits :
