About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Maine!

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Maine, beginning Mar 8, 2026, with a 21-day contract. This solo Hospitalist position features day shifts from 7a-7p with nursing support, focusing on inpatient care, rounding, admissions, and discharges. The schedule is 7on7off preferred, with sporadic coverage currently needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Round on inpatients
  • Admit patients from the emergency department
  • Manage inpatient care until discharge
  • Complete discharge planning and documentation
  • Collaborate with nursing support staff
