The Role
Does everything you touch turn to green? GTI is looking for an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our cultivation team. The IPM Tech provides horticulture and pest-management expertise to support our cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, positive individual with a nursery, horticulture, entomology or plant pathology background.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions :
- Inspect and monitor pest activity in various environments
- Identify pests and assess infestation levels using scientific knowledge and monitoring tools
- Develop and implement effective IPM strategies based on pest biology, environmental conditions, and site-specific factors
- Apply control methods including cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical techniques while minimizing risk to people and the environment
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and pest activity trends
- Collaborate with Supervisors and team members to ensure consistent and effective pest management practices
- Calibrate and maintain equipment used for pest control and monitoring
Safety & Compliance :
Must be able to perform duties while wearing proper PPE as required (i.e. respirators, googles, coveralls, gloves)

Previous experience in horticulture / nursery, entomology, or plant pathology requiredPesticide Applicator Certification required within 90 days of employmentHighly organized, with an obsessive attention to detailExperienced in Excel, data collection and entryResearch skills and familiarity with scientific method preferredMust be able to read and correctly follow written instructions and product labelsHighly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulnessAttention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended periods of timeAdapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently throughout a workday with given directivesMinimum of a high school diploma or GEDPrior cannabis experience not requiredWorking Conditions

Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
Green Thumb Pay Range
$20.50 — $24 USD
