Lead Developer | Hybrid | Nashville, TN

Our client, a music organization, located in Nashville, TN, is in need of a (1 year) Contract Lead Developer. Their ideal candidate will be an expert-level developer who is ready to jump in and let their technical leadership make an impact! The pay for this role is around $65 / hour (benefits included). This position is hybrid.

Location : Nashville, TN (Hybrid 3 to 5 days / week in office) Type : Contract (12 months)

Are you an experienced Lead Developer looking for your next long-term opportunity in Nashville? We're partnering with a top-tier organization on a 12-month contract to add a hands-on, technically proficient Lead Developer to a fast-moving Agile team. This is a hybrid role with a rotating in-office schedule (MondayThursday) and remote work on Fridays. Candidates must already be located in the Nashville area for consideration.

About the Role :

You'll join a core development team focused on enhancing and maintaining a large-scale enterprise application. In this role, you'll work alongside engineers, business users, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while mentoring junior team members and ensuring best practices.

What You'll Be Doing :

Designing and building cloud-native applications in AWS (Redshift & Aurora PostgreSQL)
Leading back-end and front-end development using NestJS, Angular, and PHP
Collaborating on GitLab-based workflows
Optimizing data storage, retrieval, and cost efficiency
Integrating diverse data sources (APIs, databases, streaming platforms) into enterprise data environments

Required Skills & Experience :

5+ years of experience with AWS, specifically Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL

5+ years with non-AWS tools including NestJS, Angular, and PHP

2+ years with GitLab (or similar tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)

Strong experience optimizing data storage for performance and cost

Deep understanding of data integration strategies across varied sources

Additional Details :

Interviews include a technical screen and a team interview

Onsite written technical evaluation required as part of the final round

Must be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment

Familiarity with development best practices and performance monitoring is a plus

Use of AI tools during the evaluation process is not permitted
