NICU RN Job Details

Location : Thornton, Colorado (Zip : 80229) – Convenient to Denver, parks, and vibrant community amenities

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 29 / 2025 – End : 3 / 30 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Level II NICU, 6 beds, 3rd floor of main hospital tower

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Scrubs Provided : Galaxy Blue with facility embroidery

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Colorado or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of Level II NICU nursing experience required

Experience with neonatal admissions and initial stabilization in the delivery room

Ability to collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) and neonatologists

Familiarity with Giraffe Omnibeds and STAR GE resuscitation equipment preferred

Level III / IV NICU experience and Eat Sleep Console experience are a plus

CPN certification and Meditech EMR experience preferred

NICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to neonates in a Level II NICU environment

Assist with neonatal admissions, initial stabilization, and ongoing patient care

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including NNPs and neonatologists (on call 24 / 7)

Maintain patient ratios : 3 : 1 for feeder growers, 1 : 1 for vented neonates

Support clinical procedures such as umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision

Document patient care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems

Uphold NICU standards of care and contribute to a positive, engaged nursing team culture
