Insight Global is seeking an Intermodal Manager for a client in the Charlotte, NC area. The Intermodal Manager will be crucial to the Intermodal Railcar Fleet operations, ensuring transport of company trailers and containers between seaports and network terminals. This role manages daily operations of a 150,000+ unit fleet, ensuring fair and efficient use by railroad customers. The person in this role will ensure the status of all equipment is maintained in accordance with car contract rules, and lead the preparation of daily, weekly & monthly reports analyzing the status of the fleet. Key responsibilities include : Monitoring equipment status per contract rules, keep record of car management contacts, and educate on car hire relief procedures. Monitoring data integrity and data mining / analytical reporting using BI tools. Leading daily, weekly, and monthly fleet analysis reports. Coordinating with Revenue Accounting to resolve reporting issues. Supervising team members and supporting special projects. The manager will develop expertise in intermodal equipment, pooling benefits, distribution rules, and internal systems. Occasional presentations and travel (510%) are expected, along with maintaining strong railroad relationships (external communication with railroad stakeholders). This is a hybrid, (3x in office / 2x WFH) permanent position located in South End Charlotte.
