Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS CPR by the American Heart Association, and successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program or one year of medical assistant work experience.

The medical assistant's primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, handling patient registration, scheduling appointments, and performing various office-related tasks. Must obtain at least one of the following medical assistant credentials within six months of hire date : American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Pay range : $20.05 - $26.81 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
