At Family & Children's Agency (FCA), we believe every family deserves support, stability, and hope. As a Reunification, Therapeutic Family Time (RTFT), and Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Therapist, you'll play a vital role in helping families overcome challenges and rebuild stronger connections. This position is ideal for compassionate, mission-driven professionals who want to make a real impact through direct service, clinical engagement, and advocacy.

What You'll Do :

In this dynamic, community-based role, you will provide intensive, strength-based support to families involved with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF). You'll work directly with parents, caregivers, and children to ensure safety, strengthen family relationships, and prevent or reverse out-of-home placements.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Conducting strength-based assessments to identify needs, safety risks, and protective factors.
• Developing and implementing individualized service plans focused on family reunification and stability.
• Facilitating therapeutic family time to help parents and children rebuild trust and connection.
• Providing parent coaching, education, and advocacy to enhance positive parenting practices.
• Addressing issues such as substance use, domestic violence, mental health, poverty, cultural barriers, and parenting limitations through targeted interventions.
• Collaborating with DCF, community partners, and natural supports to ensure holistic care.
• Maintaining timely, accurate, and confidential case documentation.
• Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and supervision to support professional growth.
• Taking part in a 24 / 7 on-call rotation to provide crisis intervention for IFP and RTFT clients.

Reunification, Therapeutic Family Time (RTFT) Salary Range : $50,000-$55,000

Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Therapist Salary Range : $45,000-$49,000
