Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in the management and oversight of institutional investment portfolios, ensuring accurate execution of portfolio transactions and robust support for governance and fiduciary processes. This position is responsible for coordinating benefit payments, contributions, tax payments, rebalancing, invoices, and other fund operations, while preparing high-quality materials for committees and boards to facilitate informed decision-making. The analyst also partners with investment managers, trustees, consultants, actuaries, and other service providers to maintain effective vendor relationships aligned with portfolio and organizational objectives.
In addition, the role strengthens financial integrity by supporting audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, while providing analytical support for finance and accounting reporting, planning, and operations. To accomplish this, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with a wide range of internal (e.g., accounting, financial planning, legal, tax, and HR departments) and external stakeholders. This role prioritizes accuracy and demands a high level of attention to detail.
Major Accountabilities :
- Portfolio Transactions Initiation and Support : Execute and oversee a wide range of portfolio transactions, such as benefit payments, contributions, tax payments, rebalancing, invoices, and charitable distributions, to ensure timely and accurate fund operations.
- Committee Support : Prepare and review meeting minutes, memos, and other meeting materials to support committees and boards in governance, oversight, and vendor decisions for institutional investments.
- Vendor Management Support : Evaluate, coordinate, and monitor investment managers, trustees, recordkeeper, consultants, actuary, managed account provider, and other service providers to ensure effective partnerships and alignment with portfolio objectives.
- Audit and Internal Controls Support : Manage audit responses, internal control processes, and compliance documentation to safeguard institutional assets and maintain transparency with stakeholders.
- Finance and Accounting Support : Perform analytical support for finance and accounting reporting, planning, and operations for institutional investments through preparation and review of related disclosures, presentations, projections, and calculations.
- Regulatory and Legal Support : Prepare regulatory filings, compliance reports, and data responses to ensure adherence to federal, state, and industry requirements for institutional investments.
- Tax Support : Collaborate with the tax department to provide necessary supporting documentation, coordinate tax-related submissions and requests, and address tax implications of institutional investment activities.
- HR Support : Review and advise on employee communication materials related to Savings Plan investments to promote clarity, accuracy, and alignment with fiduciary standards.
