[job_card.job_description]Safely operate autonomous test vehicles ~ 5–6 hours / day (up to 8 on occasion) while monitoring system behavior and road conditions. Provide clear written and verbal feedback that improves performance, reliability, and safety. Adapt quickly as software updates and procedures evolve—often daily. Professionally engage with bystanders and self-driving enthusiasts during field ops. Wash vehicles, assist with garage upkeep, handle materials, help with logistics (incl. airport / colleague pickups), and other ad-hoc tasks. You’ll Thrive Here If You Have 2+ years as an AV Safety Driver / Safety Officer (or closely related vehicle testing role). A safety-first mindset , sharp situational awareness, and excellent judgment under dynamic conditions. Outstanding communication skills (fluent in English; additional languages are a plus). A valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record . Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours for demos and special tasks—no concurrent side work during shifts. Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm (approx. 40 hours / week ). Typically 5–6 hours / day behind the wheel. Weekends and extended hours may be required during demos, trips, or high-priority testing. - You’ll also represent the company during field operations, engage with the community, and pitch in with hands-on support to keep daily operations running smoothly.
