Locums Caon City, Colorado | General Surgery Opportunity (IMLC Welcome)

A facility in Caon City, CO is seeking General Surgery locum coverage following the resignation of an internal physician. This role offers 24-hour call coverage in a Level IV trauma setting with an opportunity for ongoing work beginning June 2026.

Coverage Details :

January 14 (7 : 00 AM) January 20 (7 : 00 AM)

Ongoing dates beginning June 2026 (when schedules are released)

Schedule : 24-hour call coverage (7 : 00 AM 7 : 00 AM)

Days per month : 610 total days for all locum providers

Practice Setting & Duties :

Inpatient setting

Trauma Level IV

ED call coverage

Required procedures : Bread-and-butter General Surgery

Potential for emergent endoscopy

Support staff : None

EMR : Epic

Requirements :

Board Certified in General Surgery required

Active Colorado license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) required

Active ATLS required at presentation

Active BLS required for credentialing

Active DEA required for credentialing

Site will consider a transferred DEA; provider must maintain this DEA for the duration of the assignment

Minimum of 2 years experience required

Must indicate ability to perform endoscopies required

Must acknowledge and complete EMR training requirements in the specified order required

Candidates must be available for at least one listed open date to be considered for ongoing coverage

Clean malpractice and background required
