Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a supportive environment for recovery.

Duties :

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients, focusing on rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with medical standards.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support patients with various conditions, including geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and those requiring inpatient rehabilitation.

Experience :

The ideal candidate will possess :

• Knowledge of physiology and physical therapy practices.
• Experience in outpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Understanding of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
