Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you’ll care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit offers exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Use the nursing process to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.Expect and recognize significant changes in patient conditions and intervene appropriately.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and readiness to learn.Actively coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Evaluate patient and unit outcomes, and support process improvement initiatives.Demonstrate effective communication and leadership within the care team.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the AHA.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically, 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to deliver holistic patient care and recognize changes requiring intervention.Proficient computer skills, including electronic medical records.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Strong organization and problem-solving skills.Physical Requirements :
